OOMASOOMA is the new solo avatar of multiinstrumentalist, singer and producer Timo Ellis (pr: TIH-MO) who has recorded, toured and performed with Mark Ronson, Gojira, Yoko Ono, Kool Keith, Mastodon, Sean Lennon, Joan As Police Woman, John Zorn, Lydia Lunch, Money Mark, Gibby Haynes, Car Bomb, Miho Hatori, Bunuel, and Yuka Honda among many others, as well as has appeared on almost 100 recordings by others and scored dozens of commercial spots and short films.

simultaneously/ parallel to this entire process OOMASOOMA has feverishly super-created his own massive, never-before-released genrefluid body of work, aesthetically ranging from various dance music(s), electronics, punk, hip hop, psych and indie rock...to field recordings, metal(s), ambient, garage, old timey country, trance, lo-fi, Italo-classical, instrumental and soundtrack music.
OOMASOOMA embodies a dissociative / prismatic identity, dancing on a sort of “post-sensibility” ledge; often with regard to visual art there’s the notion of "removing the hand of the artist"...+ those who attempt it, often do it in an overly rational way -- scrubbed and antiseptic. however the OOMASOOMA musical equivalent is not about removing the hand; it's about having more hands than a Hindu god.
